Kelvin Lim of HL Assurance Singapore is the winner of the Young ASEAN Insurance Manager Award 2018 (YAMA). The award ceremony was held during the 22nd ASEAN Regulator Meeting and 45th ASEAN Insurance Council Meeting Gala Dinner, hosted by the Ministry of Financial R Department on 27 November 2018.

The award was held successfully at Thingaha Hotel, Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar. Year 2019 marked an increase in the number of nominations, where a total of 31 nominations were received compared to 26 nominations in 2018. Three finalists with highest marks qualified themselves to the Stage 2 Interview, held on 26 November 2019 at Horizon Lake View Hotel, Nay Pyi Taw. The three finalists are Mr. Landung Eko Hardiono of PT. Young Bumiputera General Insurance 1967 (Indonesia), Mr. Ong Shze Yeong of AXA Affin General Insurance Berhad (Malaysia) and Mr. Kelvin Lim of HL Assurance (Singapore). Kelvin drew the attention of the panel judges with his confident demeanour during the interview session. Kelvin’s personal goal is to nurture young talents in becoming future leaders of the insurance industry.

The YAMA 2019 award was presented by the Deputy Minister of Myanmar, H.E. U Muang Muang Win, accompanied by Ibu Evelina Pietruschka, Secretary General of ASEAN Insurance Council (AIC) and Mr A. K Cher, Chairman of AIC. The memorable Gala Dinner was also witnessed by ASEAN regulators and top industry leaders.
