LIAM President, Loh Guat Lan was invited by BIZ Malaysia, a business news programme on TV1 (RTM) (Astro Channel 101) to share on the industry’s relief measures for Malaysians affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. In the programme, Loh shared details on the RM8 million COVID-19 Test Fund set up by the insurance and takaful industry in support of the Ministry of Health’s efforts in encouraging more Malaysians to undergo the COVID-19 tests.

She also highlighted on the three months deferment of insurance premium which is aimed to help those who are unable to earn an income to have a grace period of three months (or 90 days) to pay premium due. During this period, life insurers will continue to provide insurance protection to the affected policyholders.

The exclusive interview which was conducted via Skype was part of LIAM’s effort in generating greater awareness among the community on the various relief measures offered by the life insurance industry in facing the COVID-19 pandemic.
