Allianz General Insurance Company (Malaysia) Berhad has commissioned three branded 4×4 vehicles and its claims caravan to assist its customers with flood claims this monsoon season.
Commenced on 7 November 2019, the 4x4s will be positioned at Allianz General branches in Ipoh, both Penang and Bukit Mertajam as well as Kota Bharu while the claims caravan will be visiting branches in Segamat, Kluang and Johor Bahru to expedite all classes of flood claims. Customers would only need to notify their intent on making a flood claim and the Company will assign an adjuster to survey the said property within 24 hours. In the event of a flood, the 4x4s and claims caravan will be deployed to locations where they are needed the most.
“As with any disaster, it is important for us to be swift with our actions and be of assistance to our customers. Having the 4x4s at our disposal will give us better access to our customers in flood areas and allow us to accept claims and conduct site inspections. On top of that, it is also about making the claims process easy and simple because our goal is to ease the burden of our fellow Malaysians and help them get back on their feet as quickly as we can,” said Damian Williams, Head of Claims for Allianz General.
For Allianz General’s Householder and Houseowner policyholders, the Company will make a full and final settlement within seven working days from the date of the site attendance by the adjusters. Alternatively, if the Company is unable to settle the claim following the initial site attendance, an interim payment will be made within five working days (from site attendance).
In addition to that, Allianz General will also fast track all commercial claims, regardless of the amount. Interim payments will be made on seventh day (from date of the adjuster’s site visit) with the claims to be settled between 21 to 28 days.
